What You’ll See on Lake Union
Few stretches of water pack in as much as Lake Union. Cruise past the colorful houseboats made famous on screen, the vintage vessels at the Center for Wooden Boats, and the Museum of History & Industry on the south shore. Floatplanes take off and land around you, paddleboarders and kayaks drift by, and the downtown towers and Space Needle rise just beyond. Round the north end and Gas Works Park’s industrial silhouette frames one of the most photographed skyline views in Seattle.
It is a compact, sheltered lake, which makes it perfect for a relaxed cruise where the scenery never stops. Sunsets here are spectacular, with the sky and city lights mirrored across the calm water.
Great for Date Nights and Visiting Guests
A Lake Union charter is one of the most memorable things you can do in Seattle, whether you are marking an anniversary, showing visiting family the city, or simply trading a restaurant reservation for something extraordinary. Keep it intimate with a quiet sunset cruise, or bring the whole group and add catering, a mixologist or a DJ. The heated glass enclosure means the cruise is just as comfortable on a cool Seattle evening as a warm summer night.
Do you cruise in the evening?
Yes — evening and sunset cruises on Lake Union are among our most popular, with the city lights as your backdrop. Both 4-hour and 8-hour charters are available day or night.
Centrally located and endlessly photogenic, Lake Union is the easiest way to experience Seattle from the water on a weeknight or weekend. With Provocatrix you get the whole lake to your group, a professional crew at the helm, and a climate-controlled cabin that keeps the cruise comfortable in any season. It is a little slice of the city that most visitors — and plenty of locals — never get to see.
